Supporting educators in developing language learner autonomy
Call for poster presentations
We are now inviting proposals for poster presentations.
As indicated in the title of our PCE, the key question will be how educators can be supported in developing language learner autonomy.
For this purpose, we have invited two plenary speakers: Ema Ushioda, Warwick, who will be talking about ‘Motivational perspectives when developing language learner autonomy’ and Giovanna Tassinari, Berlin, who will be giving a talk on ‘Opening spaces for learning: language advising for autonomy’.
The third major item on the day’s programme will consist of interactive poster presentations. You are hereby invited to send in a proposal for a poster presentation.
The aim of your presentation is to offer suggestions relating to the overall topic of the PCE.
You might want to focus on:
- ways in which you, yourself, have been supported in developing LLA,
- specific ideas, plans, and strategies for supporting educators in different contexts,
- research results when it comes to the effect of teacher support for developing LLA.
Please send a title as well as a brief summary of your presentation (100-250 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org by 1st December 2018.
By late December you will be informed whether or not your presentation has been accepted and receive further details regarding the poster format (size, lay-out, etc.).
